Monitors transportation operations in accordance with Gila River Health Care policy and regulatory requirements.
Ensures all drivers are properly trained, resolves transportation complaints, and assists with incident investigations.
Monitors and coaches Gila River Health Care vehicle driver performance while modeling appropriate passenger interaction.
Conducts safety check rides and communicates to drivers on all subjects related to developmental opportunities.
Recommends appropriate training and retraining to the Medical Transportation Trainer to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory policies.
Conducts point and passenger load checks to ensure routing efficiencies; ensures proper scheduling and staffing of routes.
Audits service routes and road conditions and recommends alternate routes to dispatch, as appropriate.
Investigates and responds to incidents, helps resolve operational issues, and assists with medical transportation passengers, as necessary.
Documents service disruptions and security incidents in accordance with policy.
Supports and assists in the filing of proper reports and documentation.
Assesses ability of drivers and vehicles to continue in service following accidents, incidents, and other problems.
Assist with the processing and resolution of customer service requests.
Performs physical work as needed such as helping passengers on or off vehicles.
Fill-ins for dispatch and may be required to drive a Gila River Health Care transportation vehicle, when necessary.
Performs other job-related activities, as requested.
High School Diploma or GED.
1 year of experience in a medical transportation role.
Valid Arizona driver's license, violation free for a minimum of five years.
Defensive Driving certification preferred.
Prior medical environment work experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
