Manager Central Sterile at Gila River Health Care Sacaton, AZ 85147
Responsible for leading and supervising the Central Sterilization unit of GRHC and ensuring that all medical instruments and equipment used throughout the facility are properly sterilized and provided to the appropriate medical staff in accordance with state and federal regulations and enterprise standards.
Conducts managerial and administrative responsibilities within the Central Sterilization unit such as budget preparation and monitoring and tracking expenditures.
Inspects inventory, records supply usage, and drafts relevant reports in order to provide essential data to management and ensure efficient operation of the unit.
Ensures that all medical instruments used throughout the facility are properly sterilized and provided to medical professionals in accordance with state and federal regulations and enterprise standards.
Provides guidance, leadership, and supervision for personnel sterilizing equipment, setting up standardized treatment trays, and maintaining sterilization related equipment.
Assists with department budget preparation and monitors and tracks expenditures in order to ensure cost effective operation of the facility.
Establishes and enforces standards of work performance and methods of operation for the Central Sterilization unit in order to ensure consistency and integrity in departmental activities.
Ensures that the appropriate aseptic techniques are employed by all staff in preparing and handling equipment being processed.
Inspects inventory and records supply usage in order to draft accurate reports for management.
Serves as the hiring manager for the Central Sterilization unit.
Performs other job-related activities as requested.
High School Diploma or GED required; Associates' Degree preferred.
Current and valid Certified Registered Central Sterilization Technician (CRCST) required.
2 years experience in Central Supply area.
Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
