As delegated, manages the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and/or alteration of facilities and buildings in compliance with accreditation, code, licensing and regulatory standards by performing the following duties personally and through subordinate employees.
Responsible for ensuring that all critical tasks are fulfilled on a timely basis.
Oversees all hospital Environment of Care elements to ensure full operation, compliance and reliability according to operating and regulatory standards.
Oversees and works with contractors on repair, installation, maintenance, and/or grounds improvements and preventative maintenance.
As directed, supervises crafts professionals in a wide range of specialties and expertise.
Ensures full compliance with Joint Commission building, fire prevention, biomedical equipment and utilities standards.
Inspects physical facilities, equipment, and operating procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing standards of sanitation, operation, acceptability of facilities, patient care, and record keeping.
Analyzes HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting, and other physical facilities factors.
Performs audits to support facility planning, maintenance and updating.
Reviews bids, estimates, project schedules, and deadline compliance to ensure availability as required of facilities and equipment.
Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
Takes all steps necessary to ensure full compliance with all accrediting, licensing and regulatory authorities as it relates to facilities, equipment, and consequent medical care quality.
Ensures that all facilities and maintenance staff members are fully capable, highly dependable, and deliver exceptional quality outcomes to patients and community members served on a timely basis.
Supervises maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, maintenance of facilities and components, and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Assists with capital and operational budgeting and takes all steps necessary to ensure compliance with all such budgets.
Ensures timely and highly accurate documentation of all pertinent expenditures and activities as requiredOversees annual service contacts to ensure compliance with all contracted terms by vendors.
Monitors all vendor expenditures to ensure high quality outcomes at optimal and reasonable cost to the enterprise.
Demonstrates ability to regularly change priorities to accomplish all tasks despite frequent interruptions.
Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate, both orally and in writing, while performing all essential functions.
Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Associates Degree in Facilities Engineering or similar course of study or Certified Health Care Facilities Manager; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
3 years applicable experience; medical environment work experience preferred.
Arizona Boiler Operator licensure.
EPA Section 608 Technician CertificationNFPA 99 and NFPA 101 CertificationsState of Arizona Driver's License with no significant violations during the last 5 yearsDemonstrated ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
