Adolescent Residential Treatment Specialist

Provides intensive residential therapeutic services, consultation, and support to the residential clients at Desert Visions Youth Wellness Center. Primary focus will be in the area of substance abuse, addictions and co-occurring disorders (prevention, treatment, and aftercare). Serve as one of the coordinators for all substance abuse activities within the Regional Treatment Centers. Provide counseling and follow-up services for residents (individuals/group) to include supportive, family, group, cognitive, behavioral, and interpersonal therapies. Assists in referrals to other resources and inpatient sites where indicated. Provides case and program consultation for the development of comprehensive residential behavioral health services. Assists in developing and gathering behavioral health data, including medical records, prepares factual information, and reports to assist in developing, evaluating new, or existing programs in the area of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Completion of a four year course of study leading to a Bachelor's degree, or higher graduate degree, in a behavioral, social science, or any related discipline appropriate to the position. OR Possess a combination of education and experience that is comparable to a four year degree in a behavioral, social science, or any related discipline appropriate to the position. OR Four years of training/experience that is comparable to a four year degree as described above. In addition to meeting the Basic Requirements, you must also meet one of the Minimum Qualifications for this position listed below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-0101-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:

OR I have (3) years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field of study that is related to the particular knowledge, skills and abilities OR Possess a combination of education and experience, when combined is qualifying and the total percentage is equal to at least 100 percent for the GS-11 grade level. Only graduate level education in excess of the amount required for the GS-9 grade level (2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree) may be combined with experience to qualify. When combining education with experience, first determine your total qualifying education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; then determine the applicant's experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR - LICENSURE:
This position has a selective placement factor to independently practice mental/behavioral health as evidence by possession of one of the following licenses:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Psychologist Temporary, provisional, or intern licenses are not acceptable. Your license must be from a U. S. State as well and be current and unrestricted. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
